If your home isn’t right in front of a street light, consider leaving your porch light on all night. Light deters crime and makes people feel safer. Timers which automatically turn porch lights on and off can be installed in place of a light switch, these can be very inexpensive and easy to install. This Halloween is on a Saturday, this could be a good time to start deterring petty crime by keeping things lit.
