“Hazard, Young and Attea (HYA), a national educational executive search firm, is working with the superintendent and his staff to identify the broadest possible pool of candidates for the principalship at Thomas Jefferson High School. Consultants from HYA facilitated focus group meetings with staff, parents and community members on July 7th and July 8th. The purpose of these sessions was to identify the school’s strengths and challenges and to determine the characteristics sought in a new principal. In addition, HYA is conducting an on-line survey to gather information about Thomas Jefferson High School. This survey will be open until Wednesday, July 15th. HYA will return on Monday, July 20th to present their findings from the survey and discussions. The meeting will be held in the Thomas Jefferson Media Center at 3pm.”
