VCU’s Paint the Town Green

We need volunteers to help lead VCU volunteers in the neighborhood on Saturday, April 16th. The volunteers will be leading a litter cleanup, graffiti removal on public property, stormdrain marking, and SeeClickFix uploads.

Randolph Community Walk

Lieutenant Bill Woo wants to invite Randolph neighbors to join the police for a community walk on Tuesday, April 5th at 5:30pm on the corner of S. Lombardy Street and Kemper Street.

New Sector Lieutenant in Randolph

VCU invites its neighbors to a meeting on April 5 to discuss VCU’s current capital project, Gladding Residence Center, located at 711 W. Main St. This project is part of VCU’s Housing Master Plan and is a public-private partnership between VCU and American Campus Communities. An article on the project appeared in the RTD on February 29.
 
This will be VCU’s fifth meeting with community members since May 2015. Project designs have evolved, thanks in large part to the community’s feedback. Thank you for your continued participation.

Randolph Cleanup

Thirteen RVA Clean Sweep volunteers helped pick up SEVENTEEN bags of litter off streets and alleys of Clairborne, Blair, Winder, and behind the old Boys & Girls Clubs alleyway this afternoon in 90 minutes.

The Randolph Neighborhood Association encourages all of you to help keep Randolph litter free by picking up litter on your block and in your alleyway.

The next neighborhood cleanup will be in conjunction with VCU’s Paint the Town Green on Saturday, April 16th from 9am-12pm. We still need neighborhood volunteers to lead the students in various activities: litter pickup, graffiti removal, stormdrain marking, and SeeClickFix pickups. Celebrating African-American Heritage at VCU

VCU will celebrate Black History Month with a variety of events throughout February that are meant to provoke thought and conversation. All of the events will be free and open to the public, though registration may be required for certain events. Here are the events this week!

Patient First No Longer Taking Anthem Health Plans

Patient First, which operates nine urgent and primary care medical centers in the Richmond area and dozens of facilities in the Mid-Atlantic, is no longer accepting some Anthem health insurance plans for payment. Patient First stopped accepting, as of Feb. 2, new patients who are members of Anthem, HealthKeepers and out-of-state BlueCross BlueShield plans except CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield. Existing patients with those plans who have been treated in the past at Patient First will continue to be able to be seen.
